David Baran, MD

Dr. Baran became interested in cardiology at a very young age. His brother suffered from complex congenital heart disease, and Dr. Baran decided to devote his professional career to the care of patients with severe heart disease. Dr. Baran is the System Director for Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation and leads a team of heart failure and mechanical circulatory support experts. Dr. Baran takes great pride in his patient interactions and he treats his patients as a member of his own family.

Dr. Baran is also very involved in clinical research, having particular interest in transplant immunosuppression and the management of cardiogenic shock including device therapies.
