Chapters Transcript Video Provider Profile - Arielle Schreck, MD Arielle Schreck, MD, discusses her areas of focus, her approach to patient care, and how the field of obstetrics & gynecology is evolving. My name is Dr Oriel Shrek. I am an obstetrician gynecologist and I work with Vcenter O. B. G. Y. N. My primary areas of focus are surgical. So I'm very interested in you are in surgery and specifically minimally invasive surgery. I'm also interested in pelvic pain and adolescent gynecology. I tend to take on patients that other providers might consider challenges. Um They may have diseases that are difficult to diagnose sometimes with chronic pelvic pain. It can take a couple visits to figure out what's going on. But that's where my interest lives and those are the kinds of patients that I enjoy seeing. I came here because I really wanted to work with the other providers in the group. All of the physicians in our group are very competent and we all have different areas of expertise and interests and we all complement each other very well. One of the topics that are upcoming is surgery and obese patients. And if the surgery can be performed laparoscopically rather than the open incision, it's really can be a lot less risk to the patient and can reduce things like risk of infection and complications from staying in the hospital for prolonged stays.
